Update: Now that I think of it. It might be justifiable as a Fan boy tax.

Entire article in it's entirety is here.
This is the part of article that I whole heartedly agree with Steve on. I don't know why they can't push this issue further
Why would the big four music companies agree to let Apple and others distribute their music without using DRM systems to protect it? The simplest answer is because DRMs haven’t worked, and may never work, to halt music piracy. Though the big four music companies require that all their music sold online be protected with DRMs, these same music companies continue to sell billions of CDs a year which contain completely unprotected music. That’s right! No DRM system was ever developed for the CD, so all the music distributed on CDs can be easily uploaded to the Internet, then (illegally) downloaded and played on any computer or player.
In 2006, under 2 billion DRM-protected songs were sold worldwide by online stores, while over 20 billion songs were sold completely DRM-free and unprotected on CDs by the music companies themselves. The music companies sell the vast majority of their music DRM-free, and show no signs of changing this behavior, since the overwhelming majority of their revenues depend on selling CDs which must play in CD players that support no DRM system.
So if the music companies are selling over 90 percent of their music DRM-free, what benefits do they get from selling the remaining small percentage of their music encumbered with a DRM system? There appear to be none. If anything, the technical expertise and overhead required to create, operate and update a DRM system has limited the number of participants selling DRM protected music. If such requirements were removed, the music industry might experience an influx of new companies willing to invest in innovative new stores and players. This can only be seen as a positive by the music companies.
Those interested in the Iphone you'll love this article. I'll write and add more about this article later...
At the end of the day they (Apple) will have to compete with an agenda that we set as well.
But on a different note, I think if anyone can get the phone done correctly...it's probably Apple. Time will tell.
Apple Computer warned on Tuesday that some of its latest iPods have shipped with a Windows virus.
The company said that a small number of video iPods made after Sept. 12 included the RavMonE virus. It said it has seen fewer than 25 reports of the problem, which it said does not affect other models of the media player, nor does it affect Macs.
The Cupertino, Calif.-based company apologized on its Web site for the problem, but also used the opportunity to jab at Microsoft, its operating system rival.
"As you might imagine, we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses, and even more upset with ourselves for not catching it," Apple said on its site.
What kind of crap is this? I'm getting tired of the cat and mouse game between Microsoft and Apple. I started as a Windows guy. From just plain DOS to the latest RC of Vista and I've even been a supporter of Apple. I think both systems have their place in the world of technology. My friends that have macs have this false belief that their system are inherently more secure. Security isn't something that is given as it is not a bumper sticker you just put on something when it rolls out. Especially with software. Software becomes
secure when you bang on it time after time and say,"Lets see if you work now!!" With Apple's 5% market share, how can they say their operating system has been really banged on? If Apple and Microsoft were to switch places, this is my idea of how things would look. OS X would have a lot more vulnerabilities, there would be patches every month, tons of viruses in the wild, and Microsoft's system would look like it were more safe through obscurity.
The funnier question that Apple should be asking is as follows: Why are the plants that are producing our ipods running Windows in the first place?
Update: Apple can now claim the windows virus on Ipods is just an added feature of the Ipod.
